Tomatoes stay fresher when chilled. The answer is not true. Tomatoes actually lose flavor when chilled. Setting a tomato in a sunny area will NOT ripen them. Ethylene gas ripens a tomato. Just a couple of myths for you.

If you have a lot of cherry or grape tomatoes lying around, here’s a way to use them. top them with whatever you like, but then use, thyme, rosemary, garlic, salt and pepper and olive oil and place them in a 250 degree oven for a couple of hours. When they look dry, pack them in mason jars and in extra virgin olive oil. Place in the fridge.
